3月20日，南昌地铁2号线的后段正式开始为期3个月的空载试运行，距离正式开通又近了一步。

空载试运行分为四个阶段，每个阶段的驱动密度逐渐增加。第一阶段是双车电话遮挡方法和系统功能操作。在此期间，穿插演习，设备功能验证，培训等，确保所有职位都熟练掌握电话遮挡方法，同时提高人员，设备和环境之间的磨合。第二阶段是4辆车，巩固了对每个位置操作过程的掌握，并为整条线的后续测试做准备。第三阶段是全线测试，这使得每个职位的人员更熟悉业务流程。下一阶段是为整套运行奠定基础;第四阶段是运行设定运行，模拟试运行场景的开放，确保人员，设施和设备，监管程序等符合试运行开放的要求，确保安全和随后试运行的稳定性。
